

About The Role
We are seeking a Fabrication Technician Level 2 & 3 to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled individual passionate about working with CNC machines, sheet metal roll formers, mechanical brakes, and other metal fabrication equipment. The ideal candidate has related experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in producing high-quality, precise work.
Key Accountabilities
Operate and maintain CNC machines, sheet metal roll formers, mechanical brakes, and other fabrication equipment to manufacture metal components
Fabrication of intermediate and complex parts and assemblies
Read and interpret complex blueprints and CAD designs to ensure accurate fabrication of parts
Perform machine setup, coil changes, and adjustments to accommodate production requirements
Monitor machines during operations to ensure quality, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary corrections
Collaborate with the fab shop supervisor to optimize workflows to achieve production schedules and effective management of inventory
Ensure all fabricated products meets quality standards expected of Metalex products
Assist with training of Level 1 Fabrication Technicians
What You’ll Bring Along
Preference Sheet Metal Journeyman, or Machinist Technician Certificate, or
2+ years of experience operating CNC’s, brakes, roll formers or similar
Skills: Strong understanding of fabrication processes, including metal forming, cutting, and bending. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and CAD designs is essential
Mechanical Aptitude: Hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance experience with fabrication equipment
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for precision and high-quality work
Work Ethic: Individual contributor who can be relied upon by their team members
Safety First: Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and procedures
Growth mindset, interest in learning new things, likes to be challenged
